Advantages in using a 2-channel driver:
A multichannel driver supports dynamic lighting applications such as Tunable White (DT8-Tc) and dynamic light distribution (DT6) with only one driver.
A single multichannel driver solves the problem of having two drivers in a fitting. It lowers the cost, complexity and space issues.
- Space: one driver will have a significantly smaller footprint than two
- Complexity: thermal management, cabling and DALI addressing are all much easier with one instead of two drivers
- Cost: using one driver costs less than using two
Handling dynamic lighting
Dynamic lighting scenarios requires the possibility to control the mix of different color temperatures over time or by events. With Tridonics Multichannel solution, three automation layers is available to schedule dynamic lighting scenarios:
